Scanographies es una serie de autorretratos realizados con escáner, sin cámara ni distancia, donde el rostro entra en contacto directo con la máquina.
La imagen surge de esta proximidad física y se convierte en una huella, más que en una pose o representación controlada.
Las imágenes son intervenidas con acuarela, introduciendo un gesto manual, lento e íntimo que se opone a la velocidad y homogeneización de la autorrepresentación digital.
Frente a la lógica del selfie y los filtros, la pintura permite habitar la imagen, desplazar el rostro hacia otros lugares posibles y explorar la identidad como un espacio abierto y en transformación.
Situado entre la imagen mecánica y el gesto pictórico, el proyecto reivindica la autorrepresentación desde una mirada propia, cuestionando cómo se construye hoy la presencia y qué significa decir “estoy aquí” en un contexto dominado por la visibilidad para los demás.

Scanographies is a series of self-portraits created using a scanner, without a camera or distance, in which the face comes into direct contact with the machine.
The image emerges from this physical proximity and becomes a trace rather than a pose or a controlled representation.
The images are intervened with watercolor, introducing a manual, slow, and intimate gesture that stands in opposition to the speed and homogenization of digital self-representation.
In contrast to the logic of the selfie and filters, painting allows one to inhabit the image, to shift the face toward other possible spaces, and to explore identity as an open and evolving field.
Situated between mechanical image-making and painterly gesture, the project reclaims self-representation from a personal gaze, questioning how presence is constructed today and what it means to say “I am here” in a context dominated by visibility for others.
