¿Cómo se habita un cuerpo cuando la certeza de la desaparición lo inunda todo?

Este proyecto nace de una urgencia biográfica y conceptual: la necesidad de dar forma al vacío, a la ansiedad y a las acciones obsesivas que surgen del miedo sistemático a la muerte.

Mi identidad está construida sobre una sucesión geométrica de ausencias. Tras una cadena de lutos familiares que comenzó en mi infancia y culminó con la pérdida de mi padre, el duelo se convirtió en un estado de excepción permanente al sumarse seis muertes simultáneas en mi entorno cercano.

Durante años, este trauma acumulado ha tomado la forma de ansiedad, hipocondría y rituales obsesivos.

How does one inhabit a body when the certainty of disappearance floods everything?

This project stems from a biographical and conceptual urgency: the need to give shape to the void, to the anxiety, and to the obsessive actions that arise from a systematic fear of death.

My identity is built upon a geometric progression of absences. Following a chain of family bereavements that began in my childhood and culminated in the loss of my father, mourning became a permanent state of exception when six simultaneous deaths occurred within my immediate circle.

For years, this accumulated trauma has taken the form of anxiety, hypochondria, and obsessive rituals.

Thanatophobia is a visual investigation into the psychological imprint of loss and the somatization of fear.
